Welcome to Takang Law firm
In 2008, Barrister Narrister Enow Takang, formerly the Head of Chambers at Juris Consul Law, Cameroon, saw the need to assemble a team of exceptional legal professionals—individuals known for their dedication, integrity, resilience, teamwork, and adaptability. He intentionally chose the name “Takang Law Firm” to reflect his mission of using the strength of the law to protect the interests of individuals, private enterprises, multinational corporations, and government institutions.
Motivated by a desire to bring renewed energy and professionalism to legal practice in Cameroon, across Africa, and internationally, Barrister Enow Solomon Takang formally established and registered Takang Law Firm under the Cameroon Bar Association. More than a decade later, the firm has grown into a respected institution known for delivering high‑quality, client‑centered legal services
Law Firm Profile
Takang Law Firm is composed of a dynamic team of highly trained and experienced Attorneys—Barristers, Solicitors, Notaries, and Academics—who have built strong reputations in both national and international jurisdictions. With a deep understanding of client needs, our lawyers apply decades of trial, advisory, and transactional experience to serve both corporate and individual clients.
With the establishment of Administrative Courts across Cameroon, our attorneys were among the first to challenge administrative decisions before these courts. The firm is supported by a skilled administrative team that ensures smooth operations and upholds the professional standards our clients expect.
We operate seamlessly across Cameroon and Africa through a robust network of associates. This network enables us to navigate local business challenges effectively and collaborate with top-tier solicitors and barristers nationwide. Our partners handle a wide range of matters—from routine commercial transactions to complex mergers, acquisitions, and construction contracts. Understanding that every client is unique, we tailor our advice to the specific circumstances of each case.
Recognizing that litigation is not always the best solution, we offer Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services through a Multi‑Door Courthouse approach. This allows clients to resolve disputes through negotiation and settlement, preserving business relationships while avoiding the cost and delays of court proceedings.
Takang Law Firm also provides legal advisory services to local and international law firms, government bodies, public institutions, international organizations, NGOs, and private corporations. We prioritize strong client relationships, ensuring that we understand their businesses, challenges, and legal needs.
Clients receive regular updates on their matters through the most convenient communication channels. Combined with flexible payment arrangements, this approach fosters long‑term trust and loyalty.
Our commitment to continuous learning is reflected in our well‑equipped library, stocked with legal texts, journals, newspapers, and multidisciplinary materials. In Cameroon’s bi‑juridical system, our team is proficient in both Common Law and Civil Law, enabling us to navigate legal systems across Africa and beyond. The firm currently comprises eight Advocates, one Advocate in Training, three Paralegals, a Translator, and a Driver.
